Terry and the Zydeco Badboys

From the BlueMoon:
“Terry Domingue Accordion and vocals- Since the age of four Terry would stand at the foot of any stage mesmerized by the band playing at the local trail rides he would attend with his father. At age eight, this self-taught accordion player got his first accordion and has been playing since. Growing up around his grandparents Terry had no choice but to learn Creole French. To keep tradition alive he continues to sing many traditional zydeco songs in French as well as writing many new ones of his own.”

Back On Track

On his newly released cd, entitled “Back On Track” Terry Domingue exhibits why every one in the Zydeco industry views him as the new sensation. Though Terry has been playing accordion and performing most of his life, this project just has the feeling of something NEW! With a collaboration with some of the legendary Zydeco musicians, Terry And The Zydeco Badboys! just kick ass on this one. The undeniable style of bassist Chuck Bush drives the rhythm section far pass the legal speed limit. Bush who received worldwide attention as the bass player for the renowned “Beaux Jacque and the Zydeco Highrollers” teamed up again with drummer Erick Minix, also from that band. Throw in Kent Pierre–August, guitarist formally of the “Geno Delafose” and “Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco band”, along with Terry’s cousin “Kendrick Domingue” on rub board, this band just excites!!! “Back on Track”, released March 4th on the Lockdowne Record label, features thirteen hard driving tracks, contemporary to traditional Zydeco blended with Cajun. Mike Lockett, who co-produced the cd with Domingue, makes a keyboard cameo on the project also.
